Martin H. Luttkus immigrated to the United States in 1957 from Stuttgart, Germany, at the age of six years. He became a Certified Public Accountant after graduating from California State University Northridge in 1974, at which time he joined the international accounting firm Price Waterhouse in Los Angeles (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
Mr. Luttkus’ 12-year career with Price Waterhouse focused principally on providing accounting and auditing services to businesses across a broad spectrum of different industries. It also included 30 months as a selected participant in Price Waterhouse’s distinguished international exchange program, in Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Luttkus left Price Waterhouse as a Senior Audit Manager in 1986, to start his own accounting and consulting practice.
Mr. Luttkus is currently the Chief Financial Officer of several medium-sized businesses in Southern California, and separately provides an array of financial and consulting services, largely to internationally-focused companies and individuals, and with a particular emphasis on German-speaking Europe. Over the years, Mr. Luttkus has also served or advised a number of European trade organizations including the German American Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles (where he was Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee), the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce, and the Austrian Trade Commission. As a result of his background, Mr. Luttkus is fluent in both spoken and written German.
